So, in this episode of Super Shepard Supermarket, we snacking it up

So, we're going to try something I think is healthy

Jerky's always been known [music] to be healthy, but this is like a new one

I haven't seen this before

So, we're going to try this new duos

This is sweet mango and spicy with a

jalapeno

I'm trying to trying to be a little more

healthy, you know

I'm trying to put some stuff out there

I know kids like families like just a little snack, a little pickup

Everything ain't got to be microwave cooked

You know, we going to get into it all

I'm going to show you how to pick fruits

I'm going to give it Super Sheper Supermarket's going

to give you everything you ever wanted in the grocery store

But first off, this was one of those cravable things

You see, and you just got to try out

So, they have a new flavors

So, I like where they going here

Shout out to like a product and a brand like understanding like flavors [music] and cuz I mean jalapeno and mangoes

I mean, that's like a match made in heaven

That's every salsa you ever loved [music] on your tacos

So, I love a product that understands like

mangoes, [music] jalapenos, sweets, spicy goes together like a match made heaven

Every taco you've ever had in your life, not everyone, but some really great ones

Some great tacos have mango, jalapeno, salsa on top of them

So, this is a whoever's behind the R&D on this,

they know what they doing

R&D is like research and development for people who don't understand what that is. that come people behind the scenes that like [music] try new products, make new products

McDonald's has it, every product has it

Not cheap, but I do consult

Uh, so let's get right into this

I feel like beef jerky had a lot of opportunities, too, because it's by nature [music] people think of as a healthy snack if it's done right

Uh, so let's get straight into price

Now, every episode I usually mess up on the price as far as like trying to figure it

out because we usually thought it was C28 on accident cuz we're not perfect

But this beef jerky is coming in at a whopping $549

This is probably enough beef jerky

This is a 2.8 eight oz

So, how many servings you get out of here? [music] You're

getting three servings out of here

Each serving is 1 oz

So, you can feed three people

But who really is it's that's [music] the problem we got right now

People, nobody is doing serving sizes with stuff

If you buy this, you're trying to be healthy, looking out for everything

I tell people all the time,

do serving sizes

It will help you with moderation

It'll help you with just like not oversaturation of everything

Um it it's a good thing

So, you can get three servings out of here

Um, that price, I mean, that's pretty doable

I I give that price a beat

I see nothing wrong with it

I mean, if

you're on a road trip or somewhere, your kids need something

I I don't see nothing wrong with that price. $5 for snack for two kids

have separated the bag in half, right? [music] They should have went right down the middle, separated the bag, made sure the mango was on this side, the jalapeno was on this side

I have no idea which one's mango, which one's jalapeno

So it may take me a few tries before I even get the other [music] one

of my little things like probably think about that

Um, so I'm going to try to find a jalapeno

But that mango is fire

How in the world do you know which one is which?

I'm about to get frustrated and fail them just off the rip

Like, you got to give people at least a 50/50 on this thing

And there's no way to tell

Um, but I'm going to do one more try

How do you know if it's

jalapeno if it's not spicy? So, I'm wondering, and this is maybe my ignorance, maybe each one is a jalapeno mango flavor mixed together, but for all the people in the comments who say, "No, it's mixed together

You should know that." Well, if it was mixed together, I think I would get some kind of sweet

heat at some point

Because I don't get any kick, nothing spicy

Leads me to believe that it is mixture of two different types

I think that's why I called it duo

Two flavors, one bag [music] duos

Like, it would be crazy if it if it wasn't like that

So, flavor-wise, I mean, it tastes fire, but

it's like there's so much sugar, so sweet

Like, I'm [music] a sweet fanatic

You give me pause

You give me meat with sugar, like it's going down

Um, but this is it's delicious

I'm not going to lie

I'm not going to lie

It's cravable

It's the [music] kind of thing you eat and you want to keep eating.

It's a little rough on the teeth

You know what I'm saying? like it's a little rough on the teeth

So, you want to watch it

But it's jerky

You know what I'm saying? [music] At some point, you just can't eat jerky if you got dentures

Um, but flavor, I ain't going to lie

Taste

I'm going to give it a B

plus

Not going to [music] give it an A

You probably wonder why no A? Because I mean, if we going to [music] be real, if we were to show judging on taste, if the taste is only sweet, you're not going to have a perfect dish

And there's really the beef is muted a little bit because it's so sweet

So, I mean, it's [music]

it's just cravable because that's what I like

Now, somebody else who doesn't like sweet probably would hate this, but for me, B+

Beef jugy should be healthy, by the way

Um, it it's usually high in sodium

So, uh, and this one is skyrocket

Oh my gosh

It is just with the bars

I mean, like it left the atmosphere

Watch out for the sodium in this

product

That's one thing to watch out for

And the added sugars

Sheesh

I'm not going to tell you what it is in here

Just [music] know because I I like the product

I'm never here to bash try to get nobody have no sales. [music] That's not my goal here, but it it it needs some [music] work

It's

high in sodium

It's way too high in included added sugars. [music] I mean, when it comes to nutrition, but let's talk about positives

Anybody going to the gym? Anybody need some protein? Protein is on fire here

This is a great source of protein, great amount of calories, you know

I mean,

not a lot of fat

That's that's a plus

You know, fat takes a lot longer lot longer to burn

So, it's the right kind of calories

I mean, but sugar going to store up if you don't burn it

So, you got to watch out for that with them carbohydrates

Uh, but the sodium's high, sugar's high

When it comes to

nutrients, I'll say when it comes to nutrition, I would give this a probably a D+, a D+. [music] So, we got taste B+

Nutrition D+ I think B+ [music] said it's something different

Um, and when it comes to availability, I mean, this

product is available everywhere. [music] So, I mean, that's what you get, man

If if you're looking for a product, if you've seen this, you want to taste it and you was like, "Ah, you don't want to buy it, but you want to know how it tastes." I just went through that for you
